Your treatment is provided by a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner with more than 50 years of clinical experience. Our goal is to make this level of expertise accessible while maintaining fair, transparent pricing.

EVALUATION REASSESSMENT POLICY
Your initial evaluation generally remains current while you are actively receiving treatment for the concern evaluated.
A NEW evaluation may be required when:

- The patient returns with a new or substantially different health concern.
- There has been a significant change in the patient's symptoms or health status.

We do NOT accept or bill medical insurance.
Payment is due at the time of service. We provide patients with a receipt that includes applicable treatment information and medical codes, which may be submitted directly to their insurance company for possible reimbursement.
Because insurance plans and reimbursement requirements vary, patients should contact their insurance provider directly for information regarding acupuncture benefits, coverage, required documentation, and instructions for submitting claims.
Oriental Healing Art Institute does not verify insurance benefits, submit claims, communicate with insurance companies regarding reimbursement, or provide insurance claims-processing assistance.
Reimbursement is determined solely by the patient's insurance provider and is not guaranteed.
LEGAL RECORDS & PROFESSIONAL REPORTS
Copies of existing patient health records are provided in accordance with Connecticut law and applicable record-copying fees.
Legal/Insurance Reports — $85
A professional fee of $85 applies when Gao is asked to review a patient's case and prepare a written report, narrative, or summary specifically for an attorney, insurance matter, accident claim, or other legal proceeding. Payment is due at the time the report is requested.
More extensive professional services, including attorney consultations, detailed record review, affidavits, depositions, or testimony, are subject to separate fees.
Letters of Protection / Medical Liens
Oriental Healing Art Institute does not accept Letters of Protection (LOPs) or provide treatment on a lien basis. Patients are responsible for payment at the time services are provided.
