medical insurance: WHY WE DO NOT ACCEPT MEDICAL INSURANCE
Insurance companies attempt to dictate how treatment is given. Traditional Chinese medicine is about healing the root of any ailment and not about covering up symptoms with medication like traditional medicine does. I typically spend no less than an hour with my patients so I can learn what's really going on with them. If I accept medical insurance, I will have to double my rates, treat 4 patients an hour, and be told what I can treat and how rather than helping in a way that I know will actually heal a person. For me, listening to my clients gives me insight into point selection and development of the treatment plan. The bottom line is that Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) works and insurance companies don't fully support that.
